Selina grew up in Livingston CA. She graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz with a B.S. in Earth Sciences (Environmental Geology concentration), and has previously conducted research pertaining to geomorphology, specifically soil properties and characteristics of earthflows. Selina also participates in UC Water's UC Water Academy with Joshua Viers and Ted Grantham (UC Berkeley).
Selina works on the hydroeconomic side of things in conjunction with Josue Medellin-Azuara. Her interests include watershed studies, geomorphology, groundwater analysis, and water budgeting through modelling.
